Anime is a hobby that is enjoyed by many. However, at the same time, there are many mysteries, stereotypes, and stigmas that deter those who might find some enjoyment in the medium. This series of posts came about to clear the air on these issues, and provide some insight into anime as a whole.
Let it be known that I’m not a historian. While I will touch upon anime history in a post or two, I won’t bash you over the head with history, or facts that the average person really won’t care about. I also won’t co-opt this to use as a soapbox on issues, since there’s a whole series of blogposts for that. Instead, I hope that I inspire some curiosity, some desire to check out more of this fun hobby, and the underlying subculture.
