Anime Boston 2012: Our Contest, Explained

As many of you already know, Anime Boston is but a few days away. And, like last year, I’ll be returning to the event with a number of prizes and freebies to give away.

Much like last year, the event will be a variation on the classic Where’s Waldo style of scavenger hunt. Basically, the only real conditions to win are to find me while I’m carrying the following Comic-Con bag around the show floor:

Step 1: Find Bag. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Free Anime!

So long as I have prizes remaining, you’ll be taking home something – be it a DVD, a shirt, or some other promotional goodie that has been amassed over the years. The only thing I ask is a friendly hello and a photo for our winners highlight.

Also, be sure you mention the contest, so that I know to give you a prize!

For those looking for an idea of just who to find, I recently addressed the readers in the following brief video:

The rules are simple because, well… finding one bag in a grouping of 27,000 people is a task in itself. Still, last year’s event proved to be a huge hit, and I hope that this year’s turns out the same. I’d like to wish the best of luck in advance to those who will be taking part.

Also, as a shameless plug, be sure to check out the Sentai vs. Superheroes panel, which will be held at 12:30PM in Room 208 on Sunday. Sam Kusek, Ken Haley, and I will be tracing the histories of American comics and Japanese sentai shows.
