Love Live! Theatrical Premiere Date Announced

In Japan, Love Live! is still a bit of a thing. Even though the anime series signed off in June 2014, the franchise continues to thrive, with manga, video games, and live concert performances.

And, really, it’s not hard to see why. The charming cast and infectious music have won over fans across the globe. When the show ended in June 2014, it felt as if there was a void left in the schedule for a lot of fans. It was an ending, and a satisfying one, but Love Live! is one of those shows that becomes an addiction.

Last June, fans were given hope when a Love Live! movie was revealed to be in production. An exact date wasn’t published at the time, instead citing a nebulous “2015” release window.

Last night, at the “μ’s Go → Go! LoveLive! 2015 ~ Dream Sensation! ~” concert, held at the Saitama Super Arena, the film got a real release date. The film will hit Japanese theaters on June 13, 2015.

The first official details will go live at 8:00AM (22:00PM Tokyo Time), so stay tuned at be sure to update once more information becomes available.
