God Eater Anime Hits Japanese TV On 7/5/2015


Last night, streaming service NicoNico held a God Eater event for Japanese viewers. During the event, fans got a firm release date for the upcoming God Eater anime series.

The show will première on the following dates and networks:

  • Sun TV, 7/6/2015, 23:30~
  • KBS Kyoto, 7/6/2015, 25:00~
  • BS11, 7/7/2015, 24:00~
  • Kochi Sun Sun TV, 7/8/2015, 25:25~
  • TV Aichi, 7/9/2015, 25:30
  • Okayama Hoso, 7/10/2015, 26:05~
  • Shikoku Hoso, 7/11/2015, 26:20~
  • Channel NECO, 7/17/2015, 18:00~

God Eater will be animated by ufotable (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works) and directed by Takayuki Hirao (Garden of Sinners episode 5). Character designs will be handled by Keita Shimizu, while Gō Shiina (Kyousogiga, GYO: Tokyo Fish Attack) will handle the show’s musical score.

The series was originally announced in October 2014. In February, the first teaser for the show hit, along with a vague “summer 2015” début period.
