Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Visual 002 - 20160201The Elrics’ journey is coming to an end on the Funimation front.

Earlier today, Funimation announced that their rights to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa will expire on March 31, 2016. After this point, the company will take down all streaming video feeds and cease distribution of the show on home video.

Yesterday, we reported that Hulu was de-listing both shows at the end of March.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a reboot of the franchise that originally aired in the spring 2009 broadcast season. Yasuhiro Irie (Code: Breaker) helmed the series at Bones, with Hiroki Kanno (RahXephon, Yu Yu Hakusho The Movie: Poltergeist Report) providing character designs. Hiroshi Ohnogi (Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Kekkaishi) took charge of series composition on the project.
