Love Live! Premieres On Prime-Time TV In The US Tonight!

Earlier today, NIS America announced that Love Live! School Idol Project is getting a run on American TV. The series will make its début on MNet Japan tonight, at 9:00PM Eastern (6:00PM Pacific).

Both seasons of the show will air on the network in English-dubbed format.

Love Live Key Visual 001 - 20150131Love Live! is a multimedia project from Dengeki G’s magazine, music label Lantis, and anime studio Sunrise. The project kicked off in 2012, with the first anime series hitting the airwaves in the winter 2013 broadcast season.

The anime was directed by Takahiko Kyōgoku (GATE) at Sunrise, with Asako Nishida (Haruchika – Haruta & Chika, Vampire Knight) and Yūhei Murota providing character designs. Jukki Hanada (Beyond the Boundary, KanColle) took charge of series composition on the project, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Dimension W, Yuruyuri San Hai!) scored the soundtrack.

NIS America holds the rights to Love Live! in North America. The company released the first season on Limited-Edition Blu-Ray in 2014. The company will release Season 2, as well as the Standard Edition of the show’s first season this month. The show is also available in its entirety on Crunchyroll.

MNet America is available in over 20 million households via Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter, Cox, Bright House and Verizon FiOS. Fans looking to see which channel to turn to can use MNet’s channel guide.
