NIS America Announces Love Live! English Dub Cast

Earlier today, NIS America announced the English dub cast for Love Live! School Idol Project. The series will star the following:

  • Honoka Kosaka: Marieve Herington
  • Eli Ayase: Erica Lindbeck
  • Kotori Minami: Cristina Vee
  • Umi Sonoda: Kira Buckland
  • Rin Hoshizora: Faye Mata
  • Maki Nishikino: Caitlin Glass
  • Nozomi Tojo: Laura Post
  • Hanayo Koizumi: Xanthe Huynh
  • Nico Yazawa: Erica Mendez

As of press time, the director or writers for the adaptation have yet to be announced. Fans will be able to catch the English dub later today, when the series begins airing on MNet America.

Love Live Key Visual 001 - 20150131Love Live! is a multimedia project from Dengeki G’s magazine, music label Lantis, and anime studio Sunrise. The project kicked off in 2012, with the first anime series hitting the airwaves in the winter 2013 broadcast season. The show was directed by Takahiko Kyōgoku (GATE) at Sunrise, with Asako Nishida (Haruchika – Haruta & Chika, Vampire Knight) and Yūhei Murota providing character designs. Jukki Hanada (Beyond the Boundary, KanColle) took charge of series composition on the project, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Dimension W, Yuruyuri San Hai!) scored the soundtrack.

NIS America holds the rights to Love Live! in North America. The company released the first season on Limited-Edition Blu-Ray in 2014. The company will release Season 2, as well as the Standard Edition of the show’s first season this month. The show is also available in its entirely on Crunchyroll.
