Apparently, not everybody’s happy to see the summer season.
Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream The Morose Mononokean (Fukigen na Mononokean) on their digital platform. The series will kick off on July 3, at 8:30AM Pacific (11:30AM Eastern) for subscribers in the following regions:

The Morose Mononokean is based on Kiri Wazawa’s manga of the same name. Akira Iwanaga (Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee, Corpse Party: Missing Footage) is helming the project at Pierrot Plus, with Atsuko Kageyama providing character designs. Takao Yoshioka (Elfen Lied, Watamote) is in charge of series composition.
The confirmed voice cast on the project includes:

Crunchyroll is currently publishing chapters of the The Morose Mononokean manga on their platform. The company describes the series as:
“Exorcism” is the art of sending yokai who have somehow wandered into the living world back into the underworld, where they belong.
One day Hanae Ashiya, a high school student who’s been haunted by a yokai, happens to find the contact information of an exorcist called the “Mononokean” and pays him a visit. The exorcist he meets is a morose-looking young man, Haruitsuki Abeno, and for various reasons Ashiya ends up working for the Mononokean…
And so the story of the exorcist duo Ashiya and Abeno, and the yokai they meet in their adventures, begins.
