It’s time to serve up a few cast announcements!
Earlier today, the Shakunetsu no Takkyū Musume (Scorching Ping Pong Girls) anime staff unveiled the show’s main cast members. The series will star the following:
- Koyori Tsumujikaze: Yumiri Hanamori
- Akari Kamiya: Minami Tanaka
- Hanabi Tenka: Marika Kōno
- Hokuto Itsumo: Yūki Kuwahara
- Munemune: Ayaka Imamura
- Kiruka Ushirode: Hisako Tōjō
In addition, the crew revealed that all six actors will perform series opening theme Shakunetsu Switch.
Shakunetsu no Takkyū Musume is based on Yagura Asano’s manga series of the same name. Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Alien Nine) is directing the project at Kinema Citrus, with Junko Sugimura providing character designs. Hideyuki Kurata (Drifters, Samurai Flamenco) is in charge of series composition.

The Shakunetsu no Takkyū Musume manga series began in the pages of Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump magazine in 2013, and currently spans three collected volumes.
