Good Luck Ninomiya-kun Visual 001 - 20160813Last night, Funimation announced that they acquired the domestic rights to Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun (Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun). The company will release the show as a DVD exclusive on November 22.

Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun is based on Daisuke Suzuki’s light novel series of the same name. Koji Yoshikawa (Baki the Grappler, Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar) directed the project at AIC Spirits, with Haruo Ogawara (A Bridge to the Starry Skies, Tayutama – Kiss on My Deity) providing character designs. Akira Watanabe (Ah! My Goddess (TV), Girls Bravo) was in charge of series composition.

The series originally aired during the Fall 2007 broadcast season. Crunchyroll originally streamed Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun in North America, though it no longer carries the title. In 2012, Funimation hosted an anime licensing survey, which featured the series as a possible project of interest.
