Funimation Unveils Joker Game Dub Cast

Yesterday, Funimation unveiled their English dub cast for Joker Game. The series will star the following:

  • Yuuki: Bill Jenkins
  • Sakuma: Christopher Wehkamp
  • Amari: Brad Hawkins
  • Hatano: Dallas Reid
  • Jitsui: Joel McDonald
  • Kaminaga: Dave Trosko
  • Miyoshi: Josh Grelle
  • Odagiri: David Matranga
  • Mutou: Ken Marmon
  • John Gordon: Patrick Seitz

Joel McDonald is directing the dub, which will feature Zach Davis as ADR Engineer and Andrew Tipps as Mix Engineer. Blair Rowan will serve as lead writer on the adaptation.

Funimation started streaming the Joker Game dub at 9:30PM.

Joker Game is based on Koji Yanagi’s novel of the same name. Kazuya Nomura (Robotics;Notes, Sengoku Basara – Samurai Kings: The Movie) directed the series at Production I.G. Shirow Miwa provided character designs for the feature, while Taku Kishimoto took charge of series composition.

The series aired during the Spring 2016 broadcast season. Crunchyroll streamed the show as it aired in Japan. They describe it as:

In autumn of 1937, as the coals of World War II are beginning to smolder, Lt. Col. Yuuki of the Imperial Army secretly establishes a spy training organization called the “D Agency.” Those chosen as members of the agency, in opposition to the national trend toward reverence of native-born soldiers in the army, are civilian university graduates who pass the superhuman selection test with flying colors.
