NHK is hosting the shows as part of their “This is Nippon Premium Theater” concert series, which are intended to welcome the 2020 Olympics to Tokyo. NHK hopes to highlight and promote traditional Japanese culture, while showcasing it for audiences at home and abroad.

The concerts will be held at Tokyo’s NHK Hall, with showtimes as follows:

  • 3/4/2016: 7:00PM
  • 3/5/2016: 1:00PM

This is the first time that Miku’s partnered with a taiko group, and the shows will feature a new performance style.

An early ticket lottery will accept ticket purchase applications from December 13 through December 20, though general sales will open on January 14. Prices will range from 4,900 yen ($43.76 USD) for “Class B” seats, to 6,900 yen ($61.58) for “Class S” seats.
