Crunchyroll To Simulcast Kemono Friends Anime


At this point, if you’re questioning why there’s a zoo for anime animal girls, then this isn’t your show.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream Kemono Friends (Beast Friends) as part of their Winter 2017 simulcast lineup. The series will launch on January 10, at 11:05AM Pacific (2:05PM Eastern) for subscribers in all regions outside of Asia.

The series is based on Nexon’s smartphone game of the same name. TATSUKI will direct the show at Yaoyorozu, with Shigenori Tanabe (Danchi Tomoo) writing and overseeing the show’s scripts. Sgt. Frog creator Mine Yoshizaki is credited with the original character concept designs.
The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Serval: Yuka Ozaki
  • Fennec: Kana Motomiya
  • Common Racoon: Saki Ono
  • Kaban: Aya Uchida

About The story takes place in Japari Park, an enormous integrated zoo built somewhere in this world. A mysterious substance found there, called “Sand Star,” causes the animals to turn into humanoid beings called “Animal Girls”! These new creatures spend every day peacefully with the zoo’s visitors… but after some time, a lost child turns up in the park. The child’s attempt to find the way home turns into a great adventure with the Animal Girls!
