It’s time to get a good, long look at Tsubasa Hanekawa’s world for one last time.

Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen will opened in Japanese theaters on January 6. The feature took in 86,718,100 yen ($770,064.34 USD) to take 9th place in its début weekend.

The Kizumonogatari films adapt Nisio Isin’s light novel series of the same name. Akiyuki Shinbo (Monogatari series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica) served as Chief Director on the project at Shaft, with Tatsuya Oishi (Arakawa Under the Bridge, Pani Poni Dash!) serving as director. The team of Akio Watanabe (Bakemonogatari, The World God Only Knows) and Hideyuki Morioka (Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei, D.Gray-man) provided character designs.

Aniplex of America currently holds the domestic rights to the first two films: Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu and Kizumonogatari Part 2: Nekketsu. Nekketsu made its North American theatrical debut on October 15, as part of AkibaFest.
