Poppin’ Party’s taking their act on an Asian tour next month!
Earlier today, Shogakukan Asia announced that they acquired the English-language publishing rights to the BanG Dream! manga. The publisher will release the title in six regions next month:
- Singapore
- Malaysia
- Indonesia
- Brunei
- Thailand
- The Philippines
Shogakukan is currently exploring opportunities with overseas partners, in hopes that the title will be published outside of Southeast Asia.
BanG Dream! first entered the world as a manga series in the pages of Monthly Bushiroad magazine. The ongoing series, which is being handled by Kou Nakamura, kicked off in the January 8, 2015 issue.
The series spawned an anime adaptation, which hit Japanese TV this season. Sentai Filmworks currently holds the domestic rights to the anime, and Crunchyroll streams the show as part of their simulcast lineup.
