Discotek Acquires Captain Harlock Endless Orbit SSX

It’s time to hoist the flags of the Arcadia once again, as we set off on a new adventure.

Earlier today, Discotek Media revealed that they acquired the license for Captain Harlock Endless Orbit SSX (Arcadia of My Youth: Endless Orbit SSX). The company plans to release the title on DVD in North America later this year.

Captain Harlock Endless Orbit SSX originally hit Japanese TV in October 1982. The 22-episode series was animated by Toei Animation, with Kazuo Komatsubara (Arcadia of My Youth, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind) providing character designs.

The series is a sequel to 1982 anime film Arcadia of My Youth. The series revolves around the crew of the Arcadia, as they flee the Earth government in search of a paradise where all can be free.
