Granblue Fantasy Anime Hits Japanese TV On 4/1/2017


Check to see if Miles Davis is around because, this April, things are going to get kind of blue.

Earlier today, the official Granblue Fantasy anime website updated with the show’s première schedule. The series will air on the following networks:

  • Tokyo MX: 4/1/2017 at 24:00 (4/2/2017 at midnight)
  • BS11: 4/1/2017 at 24:00 (4/2/2017 at midnight)
  • Tochigi TV: 4/1/2017 at 24:00 (4/2/2017 at midnight)
  • Gunma TV: 4/1/2017 at 24:00 (4/2/2017 at midnight)
  • AbemaTV (Online service): 4/1/2017 at 24:00 (4/2/2017 at midnight)
  • MBS: 4/1/2017 at 27:28 (4/2/2017 at 3:28AM)
  • AT-X: 4/3/2017 at 22:30 (4/3/2017 at 10:30PM)
  • TV Aichi: 4/5/2017 at 26:05 (4/6/2017 at 2:05AM)
  • Hokkaido Broadcasting: 4/5/2017 at 26:28 (4/6/2017 at 2:28AM)
  • RKB Mainichi Broadcasting: 4/5/2017 at 26:30 (4/6/2017 at 2:30AM)

Granblue Fantasy is based on Cygames’ smartphone game of the same name. Yuuki Itoh (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid) will direct the project at A-1 Pictures, with Toshifumi Akai (Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, Oreimo 2) providing character designs. Ayako Kurata was tapped as series director.

The show’s soundtrack will be scored by the team of Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Tsutomu Narita, and Yasunori Nishiki.

Aniplex currently holds the rights to Granblue Fantasy, which they will stream as a simulcast on Crunchyroll.
