No, that’s not tsundere children. Otherwise it wouldn’t be like we want to be here… b-baka!

The latest issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine (Combined Issue: 21 & 22, 2017) revealed the main cast and theme song details for the upcoming Tsuredure Children (Idle Children) anime.

The confirmed roles include:

  • Takuro Sugawara: Kaito Ishikawa
  • Chizuru Takano: Inori Minase
  • Takeshi Goda: Tomoaki Maeno
  • Ayaka Kamine: Yui Ogura
  • Masafumi Akagi: Kensho Ono
  • Ryoko Kaji: Ayane Sakura

Inori Minase will perform the show’s opening theme song, while Yui Ogure handles the ending theme. As of press time, neither piece has a title.

Tsuredure Children will hit Japanese TV in July, though a specific date hasn’t been announced. Each 15-minute episode will air on the following networks:

  • Tokyo MX: Tuesdays at 23:15 (Tuesdays at 11:15 PM)
  • Sun TV: Tuesdays at 24:15 (Wednesdays at 12:15 AM)
  • BS11: Tuesdays at 26:15 (Wednesdays at 2:15AM)

Tsuredure Children is based on Toshiya Wakabayashi’s manga series of the same name. Hiraku Kaneko (Maken-Ki! Battling Venus 2, The Qwaser of Stigmata) will direct the show at Studio Gokumi, with Etsuko Sumimoto (Yurikuma Arashi) providing character designs. Tatsuhiko Urahata (Black Bullet, Monster ) is in charge of series composition.

Kodansha Comics currently holds the rights to the Tsuredure Children manga. The company will release the series in English starting April 25.

A promotional video for the title was unveiled earlier this month. You can check it out below:
