First “18if” Teaser, Premiere Schedule Hit The Web


Today, we get our first glimpse of what happens when dreams collide.

Kind of.

Earlier today, the official 18if anime website updated with a promotional video. Furthermore, the site updated with the show’s official premiere schedule. We break the details down below.

Promo Video

The 30-second trailer offers a brief look at the show in action. The trailer confirms that TeddyLoid will produce 18if‘s theme song, with Yoshikazu Mera handling vocals. Yūho Iwasato wrote the lyrics.

In addition, Gonzo started streaming a pair 18 Yume Sekai VR (18 Dream World VR) VR teasers. The six-minute videos serve to promote the 18: Kimi to Tsunagaru Puzzle (18: A Puzzle Connecting to You) smartphone game:

Broadcast Schedule

18if will air on the following networks:

  • Tokyo MX: 7/7/2017 at 22:00 (7/7/2017 at 10:00PM)
  • AT-X: 7/8/2017 at 21:00 (7/8/2017 at 9:00PM)
  • BS Fuji: 7/10/2017 at 24:00 (7/11/2017 at midnight)

Funimation holds the domestic rights to the title, though they haven’t yet announced distribution plans.

18if is based on Mobage’s smartphone game 18: Dream World (18: Kimi to Tsunagaru Puzzle). Director Koji Morimoto (Extra, Beyond) will serve as chief supervisor for 18f at Gonzo. Each episode will have a different director. Tadashi Oppata (Memories Off 2nd, Memories Off 3.5) is providing character designs, while Atsuhiro Tomioka (Inazuma Eleven, Pumpkin Scissors) takes charge of series composition.

18 is a multimedia project from Mobcast, which kicked off with 18: Dream World. Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi is listed as a principal creator for the franchise.
