Crunchyroll Unveils Anime Expo 2017 Plans


It looks like this year’s Anime Expo is going to be a bit crunchier than expected.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll unveiled their plans for Anime Expo. The company will host the following:

  • The Ancient Magus’ Bride TV Premiere Screening
  • Classroom of the Elite Simulcast Premiere
  • Yuri!!! On ICE Panel with Original Yuri!!! On ICE manga author Mitsurou Kubo & Anime Director Sayo Yamamoto
  • Panel with Classroom of the Elite directors Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto
  • Cosplay gallery featuring costumes by Adam Savage
  • The Ancient Magus’ Bride Chalk Art Drawing
  • Yuri!!! On ICE Photo Ops
  • Dealer’s Room booth with brand-new merchandise

Crunchyroll will also partner with VRV to host a Premium subscribers-only party on July 1. The event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center’s Lounge 21.

The Ancient Magus’ Bride TV series will make its global début at Anime Expo. The first three episodes will be screened at the event, which will be attended by WIT Studio head George Wada and director Norihiro Naganuma. The two will discuss their work on the project, and sign The Ancient Magus’ Bride posters.

Anime Expo will be held from July 1 – 4.
