Funimation Reveals “My First Girlfriend is a Gal” SimulDub Cast

I guess Gals just wanna have dubs! I’ll just… excuse myself. I know that was awful.

Earlier today, Funimation revealed their English dub cast for My First Girlfriend is a Gal. The series will star the following:

  • Junichi: Alejandro Saab
  • Yukana: Jamie Marchi
  • Shinpei: Brad Smeaton
  • Yui: Alison Viktorin
  • Nene: Brittany Lauda
  • Ranko: Morgan Garrett
  • Minoru: Cris George
  • Keigo: Jacob Browning
  • Ayumi: Kristin Sutton
  • Kokoro: Annabel Thorne

Dave Trosko is directing the dub, while James Baker serves as ADR Engineer. Adrian Cook will serve as Audio Mixer for the project.

As of press time, the adaptation has yet to receive a concrete première date.

My First Girlfriend is a Gal is based on Meguru Ueno’s Hajimete no Gal manga. Hiroyuki Furukawa (My Wife is the Student Council President, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia) is pulling double duty as director and character designer on the project at studio NAZ. Yūichirō Momose (Minori Scramble!, Sakura Internet Shinsei) is in charge of series composition for the series.

Funimation describes the show as:

Junichi Hashiba is nearing the end of high school and going into panic mode. His time here has not gone as expected: he has no girlfriend and worse yet—he’s still a virgin! Desperate to experience the big ‘first,’ his friends pressure him to approach the gyaru—a fashionable and boy-crazy gal—Yukana Yame for a good time. But his first mistake was thinking this gal would be an easy one!
