Tokyo, Japan | For Immediate Release | anime.chuyaden.com/

The rising stars of WAO! WORLD’s international award winning feature film production team is launching the official website for the new original anime project “CHUYA-DEN.”

Chuya-Den is an epic action adventure story pitting day against night and good against evil in a world of Yokai. Faced with the crisis of an extinguishing sun, a group of children find themselves as they get caught up in the Yokai Chanbara — the battle to control day and night itself.

Yoshiyuki Kaneko (YOSHIKO) will get his directorial debut for this project, having animated the first promo video himself. The all-star voice cast includes Yu Kobayashi, Yui Horie, Ayumi Fujimura, Misato Fukuen, Norio Wakamoto, Motomu Kiyokawa and Hiyama Nobuyuki. The video can be viewed on the website, anime.chuyaden.com/.

The Chuya-Den Project was produced with an innovative approach to animation process—centering on a core of traditional cel animation and adding new digital illustration techniques to boost production value and keep costs down; a process which will lead to a revolution in animation production.

Chuya-Den will take advantage of the ever increasing popularity of crowdfunding to start its own crowdfunding campaign, and stake its place in the fastest growing medium for original animation. Campaign start date to be announced.

This project is a work of firsts, growing out from the support of many. We hope to keep this trend going and are counting on your planet-wide support and cooperation!
