FUNimation announced that Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods Extended Edition shipped today on Blu-Ray and DVD. The DVD/ Blu-Ray combo pack will contain 30 minutes of extras not found in the standard edition.

To promote the release, actors Sean Schemmel (Goku) and Chris Sabat (Vegeta) will attend New York Comic Con on October 10 and 11, 2014. Both actors will be available at FUNimation’s booth (#1520) from 3:30PM – 4:30PM Eastern. In addition, the two will appear in an official Twitch live stream on October 10, that runs from 12:00PM to 1:00PM Eastern.

Flower Mound, TX – The Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods momentum continues! Following the highly successful theatrical release in August, the movie releases today, Oct 7th, on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD!  Fans can relive the epic theatrical event with the Extended Edition Blu-ray Combo pack, which features 20 mins of never-before-seen footage. It also includes the theatrical version of the film, as well as 30 minutes of extra features, both of which are not available on the standard DVD version.

You don’t want to miss this! IGN noted the movie has “some of the most exhilarating fight scenes I’ve ever seen.” Fans love the stunning animation, epic new villains, action, and comedy of the film.  They called the English dub “phenomenal”.

To celebrate the release, two of the starring voice actors from the Dragon Ball Z franchise, Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat, will attend the New York Comic Con October 10th-11th.

In addition to signing autographs for the fans at FUNimation’s Booth #1520, on Friday and Saturday from 3:30pm – 4:30pm, the adored actors will appear on the official Twitch livestream at the Twitch booth on Friday October 10 from 12-1pm.

Sean Schemmel plays the voice character of GOKU in the Dragon Ball megaseries as well as voices in Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lupin III and Ah! My Goddess.  Schemmel is also an ADR director and screenwriter and has provided voices for a number of English versions of Japanese anime, television series, and video games.

Chris Sabat has a multitude of skills including screenwriter, ADR director but for Dragon Ball Z, plays the voices of: VEGETA, PICCOLO, SHENRON, YAMCHA, BUBBLES and more.  He also appears in Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Samurai 7, Fullmetal Alchemist and has video game roles in AEon Flux, BloodRayne 2 and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct!

Both men have years of experience creating amazing anime works and have a lot stories to share about the creativity that goes behind making the incredibly popular Dragon Ball Z franchise.
