VIZ MEDIA ANNOUNCES NEW MANGA SERIES ACQUISITIONS AT 2017 COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL

New Titles Scheduled To Launch In Print and Digital In 2018 Include BLACK TORCH, KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR, DEMON SLAYER: KIMETSU NO YAIBA And Print Versions of DEAD DEAD DEMON’S DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION

San Francisco, CA, July 24, 2017 – VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), a premier company in the fields of publishing, animation distribution, and global entertainment licensing, announced the acquisition of several notable new manga properties this past weekend during its official panel event at the 2017 Comic-Con International.

New titles to be published in print and digital under the Shonen Jump imprint include BLACK TORCH, a supernatural action series about a boy who can talk to animals and is dragged into a secret battle to defend humanity against hostile spirits, KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR, a romantic comedy featuring the hilarious antics of a pair of geniuses in love, and DEMON SLAYER: KIMETSU NO YAIBA, a paranormal adventure about a young man’squest to reverse his sister’s hideous transformation into one of the very monsters he fights. The first of these new titles will launch in early 2018.

VIZ Media also announced plans to publish DEAD DEAD DEMON’S DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION by acclaimed creator Inio Asano. VIZ Media also publishes his Eisner-nominated titles SOLANIN and GOODNIGHT PUNPUN, as well as his WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD.
