Requisite Blog Manifesto

I guess it’s time I drafted one of these things, since I want to everybody to be on the same page. After all – an open blog is a happy blog!

  1. Opinions expressed on Anime Herald represent those of the owner, Mike Ferreira.
  2. I love comments and constructive criticism, but be warned that insults and personal attacks will be ignored.
  3. Anime Herald will have features that drop off the face of the planet. Not many, but I like to try new things to see what sticks. If you like something, leave a comment, show your friends, anything to give me an indicator that you like it! I want you all to have as much fun as I do!
  4. This isn’t a money-making venture, though I will feature a couple of ads to defray hosting and domain costs. Details outlined below.
  5. I want to keep things open with the readers whenever possible. If you have any reasonable questions or concerns, ask – I’ll be setting up a contact form soon – and I’ll be happy to answer you.

Now, I’ve mentioned that I’ll keep a couple of ads. I hate most online ads. They’re obnoxious, they’re ugly, and they often scream “I don’t know what I’m selling!” I’m a friendly guy, that would like to be seen as a person that can be trusted. That’s why I want to have the following rules in place

  1. I refuse to post ads for services I don’t use, or products I haven’t reviewed.
  2. I will try to keep ads as small and out-of-the-way as possible
  3. I will notify you, the reader, through a post whenever I plan to add anything of this nature. I will take comments to heart and respond accordingly.

Anyway, I hope this clarifies things here. I look forward to a fun time with everybody!
