Unfortunately, tonight was a non-starter… but I don’t like leaving a night empty-handed. So, to make up for a lack of commentary, I’ve unearthed a bit of a classic gem. I came across the trailer for the anime classic Robot Carnival earlier, which I present below:

Robot Carnival is an absolute classic. It’s never seen a release in the west outside of the Streamline tapes, unfortunately. It’s a shame, since the title is so hard to obtain, since it is a melding of several masters, from their prime. Katsuhiro Otomo, Yasuomi Umetsu, and others contributed to the final project, which spins nine tales with little dialogue, and a metric ton of emotion. If you ever get the chance to watch this, dear reader, by all means take the opportunity and do so.
