Every year, for one week, an event occurs in entertainment that causes a ripple effect across the entire entertainment spectrum. News outlets go silent, announcements go unmade, and everybody seems to look breathlessly to the west. Across that one week, the most powerful men in an industry speak and everybody, from Wall Street to the common man.
It’s the week of E3.
Even in anime, a seemingly unrelated industry, everything comes to a halt as these individuals speak. The pull of the announcements, the glitz, and the sheer adrenaline rush that comes with anticipation is enough to keep people focused on the monitor, eager to see what happens next.
However, that means little here. As week progresses, I do plan to continue commentary as usual, even as E3 continues to dominate the headlines. There is much to discuss, and many topics that must be touched upon. So, dear reader, I hope you do look forward to this week’s commentary, even in the face of the greater spectacle.
