Weathering the Storm

As many of you know, “Super Storm” Hurricane Sandy is currently tearing across the northeast at the moment. Unfortunately, Rhode Island is one of the affected areas, and many areas within the state have lost power. Over 100,000 in the state (and 350,000 in Massachusetts) are in total blackout conditions and National Grid is scrambling to restore electricity to customers in the state.

Unfortunately, that includes Herald Headquarters, which lost power at about 6, and just regained power now. So, for the most part, I’ve spent the evening in the dark, lit by candles as I caught up on some reading (For those curious, the book wasForce of Nature by Edward Humes). Unfortunately, this means that I didn’t have the time to prepare the standard article. And, for this, I offer my sincere apologies.

I do have some good news, though – this weekend, Anime Herald will be covering the first Rhode Island Comic Con from the show floor. So please do look forward to the array of photos, articles, interviews and video that come with any convention.

Anyway, I’m getting off track. For those in the storm area, please, do your best to stay safe, and stay dry. I wish every single one of you the best of luck in this crazy weather event.
