Anime Herald to Cover RI Comic Con 2013

rhode-island-comic-con-logoA few minutes ago, I received confirmation that our passes for RI Comic Con were approved. On November 2 and 3, we’ll be providing coverage from the event.

This seems like a departure from the norm for us, as it’s not an event that caters specifically to anime fans. And, if you go by last year’s coverage, this is indeed the case. However, as a Rhode Island native, this is a local event, and it’s one that I can’t help but find it important to Rhode Island’s growing fan culture. So, while it doesn’t specifically pertain to our normal focus, I am honored to be able to cover it.

This year, there will be a number of figures that better fit our site’s main focus, from the Power Ranger Reunion, to figures like cosplayer Jessica Nigri. We’ll be doing our best to deliver coverage that you want to read from the show floor, in addition to our standard panel reports, and event photos.

The event runs on November 2 and 3. I hope you look forward to our coverage!
