In the three(ish) years since we’ve started, Anime Herald has grown and changed greatly. What began as a simple place for my offbeat writings and strange experience has grown and evolved into something truly wonderful. We’ve added a ton of fantastic features like “Your Bad Anime Night Needs” and “The Beginner’s Guide to Anime“, while maintaining a steady flow of editorial commentary and reviews. Our staff has grown from its original “one crazy bastard”, to include several fantastic, passionate individuals.
Anime Herald, as you know it, is a work of passion. I’ve been writing for nearly thirteen years and have no intention of stopping now. It’s my passion, something I absolutely adore doing… and I thank you all for taking the time to read day after day. Just as I thank my staffers, day after day, for joining in with reviews, with podcasting, and with everything they’ve done to lend a hand over the years. Likewise, we have a few incredible sponsors, like Otaku Republic, whose ads have helped to pay for our bandwidth, and various improvements to the site. You’re all incredible, and I can’t thank you enough!
But now, dear readers, we’re going to need your help.
…Not that kind of help! I’m not going to beg for money or anything like that!
What I mean is that, in order to grow and evolve going forward, we’re going to start asking what you want a bit. What you want to see in us, and what kinds of things you would like to see, and so on. Ideally, we’ll be able to better suit your needs, and deliver more content that you’re interested in.
Currently, I’m drafting up questions for the survey, which should go live next week. I want to thank you in advance for your cooperation. I hope that we can continue to be one of your sources for anime information for the next three years, and beyond.
