Worlds Collide in This Eren Jaeger Themed Cover of the Danny Phantom Rap

In the early 2000s, Fairly Oddparents creator Butch Hartman set out to strike gold a second time with the cartoon series Danny Phantom. For the uninitiated, Danny Phantom was a comedic series about Danny Fenton, a 14-year-old who gains ghostly powers after an accident with an inter-dimensional portal. Through the show’s 53 episodes, Danny would fight evil under the guise of Danny Phantom while still trying to live some semblance of a normal life.

It was seen as an enjoyable show overall, though most people remember it for the uber-catchy theme song nowadays.

Attack on Titan is a dark, dramatic series about people trying to survive in a walled city, as gigantic humans known as Titans steadily close in to devour the last remnants of humanity. The series focuses on Eren Jaeger: a young man who, by some plot-sensitive event, gains the ability to transform into a Titan. With his abilities, Eren battles the Titans, while trying to reclaim mankind’s freedom from the Titans.

Surprisingly enough, Eren’s story fits wonderfully as lyrics to Danny Phantom’s theme song. In a 41-second rap, the two world collide, as YouTuber Phlashbak blends Attack on Titan’s dark tale with that uber-catchy melody.

It’s quirky, for sure, but it works.
