Durarara!! is one of those rare shows that nearly everyone needs to see at some point. The show’s strong writing and gripping plot earned it a special place in the hearts of countless anime fans across the globe. That’s to say nothing about the cast, which is nothing short of remarkable. Characters like headless rider Celty, or the short-tempered Shizuo Heiwajima quickly wormed their way into popular fan culture.
Even now, the series remains popular enough that a new season was greenlit for production. More interesting, though, is that the franchise is invading other popular media.
Atlus announced that several characters from Durarara!! will appear in the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker. Izaya Orihara, Shizuo Heiwajima, and Celty will be made available as free downloads a limited time, via the 3DS’s SpotPass feature. The distribution breakdown is as follows:
- Izaya Orihara will be available from January 29 through February 4, 2015
- Shizuo Heiwajima will be available from February 5 through Februay 11
- Celty will be available from February 12 through February 18
