Aria the Avvenire Key Visual 001 - 20150203

Earlier today, studio Mag Garden opened a teaser for a new series in the Aria anime franchise. According to the site, Aria the Avvenire (“Aria the Arrived”), was greenlit for production. Shortly after it opened, though, the Aria the Avvenire teaser site was taken down.

The series will be directed by Junichi Sato (Kaleido Star, Sailor Moon, Aria – The Natural), with scripts by series screenwriter Reiko Yoshida (The Cat Returns, Bakuman).

The show’s format was not specified, though the site teased a screening of the show, which will be held on September 26, 2015. The series will be produced as part of the Ao no Curtain Call (“Blue Curtain Call”) project, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Aria the Animation‘s premiere.

In addition to the new series, all TV series within the Aria franchise will receive a Blu-Ray box release in Japan.
