Gundam fans are in for a treat. Earlier today, the GundamInfo YouTube channel uploaded the first seven minutes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin‘s “Blue Eyed Casaval” for free streaming. The full feature will be available for on-demand streaming on February 28 via Daisuki. A limited-edition Blu-Ray release is scheduled to hit retailers on April 24.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is an adaptation of a manga by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. The series, which ran for 23 volumes, retells the events of the original Mobile Suit Gundam while expanding on the back-story of the entire Gundam universe. This includes the origin of the great Red Comet himself, Char Aznable.

The series will run for four episodes, which will focus on Casval Deikun and his sister Artesia.
