In the near future, the anime world will see evil go down, one punch at a time.
The latest issue of Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine announced that a One-Punch Man anime series was greenlit for production. The cast and staff will be announced in a promotional video that will be shown at Bandai Visual’s booth at Anime Japan 20151.
Illustrator Yuusuke Murata wrote that, upon hearing the news, he was so overjoyed that he wanted to immediately tell the world on Twitter. He had to hold back, though, and be patient about the reveal. Series Creator ONE confirmed that he’s taking part in production meetings for the series.
Earlier today, the official website for the series launched. While the staff list is still due to be released at Anime Japan, the site does host the first key visual for the new series.
Young Jump and the official One-Punch Man anime series Twitter accounts both posted earlier today with news of the site’s opening.
