Testament of Sister New Devil Gets Second Season & OVA

2015 really is shaping up to be the Year of the Ecchi.

A televised note before the final episode of The Testament of Sister New Devil announced that a second season is in the works. The new season, titled The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST, will begin airing this October. This was later tweeted out via the show’s official Twitter account.

Rough translation: [Phase 2 Announced!] You can catch the climax of the anime “The Testament of Sister New Devil” and the second season announcement!! The title of the second phase will be “The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST (burst)” and it’s scheduled to air in October 2015. Thank you, everyone, for your support now and in the future!

Shortly thereafter, Kadokawa tweeted their own announcement of the news:

Rough Translation: [Testment of Sister New Devil] The TV anime finally reached its climax, but we’re working on a second season! A new Sister Devil series is scheduled air under the title The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST. We want to thank you again!

In addition, the official The Testament of Sister New Devil Twitter account revealed  that the seventh volume of Miyako Kashiwa’s manga adaptation will be bundled with a new OVA.  This one’s a bit further off, though. The book isn’t due to hit Japanese retailers until January 26, 2016.
