Let’s face it. While anime brings a lot of anime fans together, it’s a hobby that’s ripe for ribbing. And, every year, we end up with a few parodies that take advantage of the hobby’s more offbeat individuals.
The latest in this long line of parodies is College Humor’s The Adventures of Butthurt Anime Fan, which pulls no punches in its pursuit of humor.
Every stereotype, from elitist fanboys to waifus, is on the table. Spoofs of popular titles like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Akira pop up throughout, and even the main cast members bear a bit more than a passing resemblance to popular characters.
To be frank, though, The Adventures of Butthurt Anime Fan is crude and more than a bit cruel at points. Still, the short’s bound to deliver a cheap laugh or two.
