The hype train for Jitsu wa Watashi wa (Actually, I am…) continues to pick up steam.

On April 15, the show’s official Twitter account revealed that Natsuki Hanae (Tokyo Ghoul, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) will play the role of Asahi Kuromine. The announcement later made its way to the print circuit, when it appeared in this week’s Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa is based on Eiji Matsuda manga of the same name. The show will be directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto (Servant × Service, Squid Girl Season 2) and animated by TMS Entertainment. Character designs are being handled by Hirotaka Marufuji (Aquarion Evol, Nobunaga The Fool).

The series is scheduled to hit Japanese TV this summer.

Six other cast members have been confirmed to date:

  • Yōko Shiragami: Yū Serizawa
  • Shiho Shishido: Aya Uchida
  • Akari Kōmoto: Emi Nitta
  • Nagisa Aizawa: Inori Minase
  • Akane Kōmoto: M.A.O
  • Mikan Akemi: Reina Ueda

On April 10, the official Jitsu wa Watashi wa Twitter account tweeted character design sheets for Yōko, Kuromine, and Mikan, though the actor for Kuromine was not revealed at that point:
