Namco Bandai Releases Second God Eater Promo Video


Last night, Bandai Visual posted a new promotional video for the upcoming God Eater anime series. The 90-second video gives viewers a new taste of ufotable’s upcoming adaptation, with animated cuts interspersed with cast and crew information.

Over the weekend, the official God Eater anime website opened to the public. And, with it, fans received a healthy dose of cast and crew information. The series will be directed by Takayuki Hirao at ufotable, with character designs by Keita Shimizu. Gō Shiina (Kyousogiga, GYO: Tokyo Fish Attack) will provide the title’s musical score.

The rest of the staff will be filled as follows:

  • Sound Director: Takayuki Hirao
  • Art Director: Masaru Yanaka
  • Color Design: Emi Chiba
  • Director of Photography: Seiji Matsuda
  • CG Director: Takizawa Masato
  • Editor: Tsuyoshi Imai
  • Theme Song Performance: OLDCODEX

The voice cast will feature Maaya Sakamoto as Alisa Illinichina Amiella, and Ryūichi Kijima as newcomer Renka Utsugi. The remaining roles will consist of the following:

  • Lindow Amamiya: Hiroaki Hirata
  • Soma Schicksal: Kazuya Nakai
  • Sakuya Tachibana: Sayaka Ohara
  • Kota Fujiki: Daisuke Sakaguchi

God Eater will begin airing on Japanese TV on July 5, with TOKYO MX hosting the première. The series was first announced in October 2014, and the first teaser rolled out in February.
