First Heroic Legend of Arslan Musou Screens Released

Earlier today, Famitsu released the first batch of screenshots form Koei Tecmo’s Arslan Senki x Musou (The Heroic Legend of Arslan x Warriors). The screens, which focus mainly on Arslan, show off the game’s overall aesthetic.

Cel-shaded characters are used to create a style that mimics Shingo Ogiso, Ushio Tazawa, and Kazuo Watanabe’s character designs. The landscapes, at this point, are presented in a more realistic fashion.

Arslan Senki x Musou was first revealed last week, in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. Koei Tecmo is developing the title, which will appear on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this fall.

The title will recreate scenes from Hiromu Arakawa’s manga, starting with the battle of Atropatene. Both Arslan and Daryun are confirmed to be playable in the game, at this point.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan anime series began airing last month. FUNimation currently holds the license to the show, and streams it on their digital platform and Hulu Plus.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan dub will be streamed as part of FUNimation’s Broadcast Dubs initiative. At this point, though, the première date is a vague “To Be Announced.”
