Monster Musume Anime Adds 3 New Cast Members

Monster Musume‘s cast of monster maidens got a bit bigger today, as three new cast members were revealed. The following will join the show’s quirky character collection:

  • Meroune “Mero” Lorelei (Mermaid): Huruka Yamazaki
  • Rachnera “Rachnee” Arachnera (Drider): Sakura Nakamura
  • Suu (Slime Girl): Mayuka Nomura

A new key visual was released to celebrate the announcement, which you can check out below:

The new cast members join the previously announced lineup:

  • Miia (Lamia): Sora Amamiya
  • Papi (Harpy): Ami Koshimizu
  • Centorea (Centaur): Natsuki Aikawa

The Monster Musume anime series was first announced in March, on the wraparound of the seventh Monster Musume manga. It was about this time that we received the first key visual for the show, which you can take a look at below:

The series will have a seasoned crew behind it, with Tatsuya Yoshihara (Yatterman Night) helming production, and animation by studios Lerche (Assassination Classroom) and Seva. The full crew is below:

  • Series Composition & Screenplay: Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Yatterman Night, Ben-To)
  • Character Design: Tatsuya Sunagawa
  • Assistant Character Design: Shunji Akasaka
  • Animation Direction: Tatsuya Sunagawa (Muromi-san) & Shunji Akasaka
  • Sound Direction: Hiroto Morishita
  • Music: manzo (Is This a Zombie?) and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Blue Spring Ride, Hyperdimension Neptunia)

Monster Musume is currently slated for a July 2015 première.
