Michiko and Hatchin is an original series, that aired in the fall 2008 anime season. The title was animated by Manglobe, with Sayo Yamamoto (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine) directing, and Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop) serving as producer. FUNimation currently holds the right to the show in North America, and released it on DVD and Blu-Ray last fall.
