Shonen Ace Magazine Teases Nichijou Announcement

It looks like Shonen Ace is rolling out the Nichijou (My Ordinary Life) hype train! The latest issue of the magazine promises big news for its upcoming issue, which hits news stands on June 26. At the moment, no details on the announcement were revealed, though the teaser does feature an adorable drawing of Mio and Yuuko.

Nichijou received an anime adaptation in 2011, which was produced by Kyoto Animation (Sound! Euphonium, K-On!!) and directed by Tatsuya Ishihara (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Clannad). While Nichijou did earn a cult following with its quirky sense of humors and colorful cast, it ultimately failed to break even.

According to animator Shunji Suzuki, the series didn’t even come remotely close to the break-even point, which ultimately led to the “destroying the myth of Kyoto Animation’s” invincibility.
