Inferno Cop is one of those shows that just has to be seen to be believed. It’s a remarkable show, though not in the way many would expect. The series, for many, is an amazing train wreck. It’s barely animated and the content is crude to a fault, yet so over-the-top that it’s difficult to look away.
Still, this didn’t stop the show from gaining a number of die-hard fans, hungry for more.
While it took a while, Trigger didn’t disappoint in delivering on these requests. This year’s AnimeNext convention hosted a number of Trigger staff members, including Shigeto Koyama, Sushio, Hiromi Wakabayashi and Takafumi Hori. During the convention’s Trigger panel, the team surprised fans with a brand new episode of Inferno Cop.
At the moment, details on the short are scarce, though several tweets made their way to the public. Mike Toole notes that more episodes are in the works, though when they’ll be ready is unknown.
