The Gundam universe is about to expand again!
Earlier today, anime studio Sunrise announced that they are working on a new Mobile Suit Gundam anime project. No details were released as of press time. Rather, the company will unveil details on a series teaser site on July 14, at 11:00PM Eastern.
The reveal will be presented in English and Japanese.
Yesterday, a teaser website for the project opened with a countdown timer. The background features a silhouette of a mysterious Mobile Suit, which you can check out below:
The most recent entry to the Gundam franchise is OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. The series revolves around the life of a Casval Rem Deikun, better known as Char Anable.
The first episode, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin I – Blue-Eyed Casval, was released via streaming and a limited theatrical run in February. The feature received a broad Blu-Ray and DVD release on April 28.
The second episode, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin II – Artesia’s Sorrow, is expected to hit Japanese theaters on October 31.
