The summer of dub is already upon us!
Yesterday, FUNimation announced their first round of Broadcast Dub titles. The company will dub the following as they air in Japan:
- Gangsta.
- Prison School
- Sky Wizards Academy
In addition, FUNimation will continue its broadcast dubs for Ultimate Otaku Teacher, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, and Ninja Slayer.
Prison School is based on Akira Hiramoto’s comedy manga of the same name. Tsutomu Mizushima (Shirobako) was tapped to direct the show at J.C. Staff, while Junichiro Taniguchi (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun) provides character designs.
Gangsta. is based on Kohske’s manga of the same name. The series is being directed by Shukou Murase (Ergo Proxy) at Manglobe, with Yōichi Ueda handling character designs.
Sky Wizards Academy is based on Yū Moroboshi’s light novel series of the same name. Takayuki Inagaki (Rosario + Vampire) is directing the title at Diomedéa. Osamu Horiuchi is serving as character designer on the project.
At the moment, FUNimation hasn’t specified a première date for its three new broadcast dubs. The company currently streams all three shows as they air in Japan.
