Barnes & Noble is embracing manga in a big way.

As we reported earlier, North American book seller Barnes & Noble began expanding its in-store manga selection.
In addition to the in-store stock bump, Barnes & Noble is hosting a “Manga Mania” event as part of its “Get Pop Cultured” event. Barnes & Noble stores are hosting a “Buy 2, Get 1 free” sale on all in-stock manga. Fans who made it down today were eligible for an extra 30% discount on all “How To Draw Manga” guides.
Through the week, stores will give away a number of free goodies, including:
- Kodansha Manga sampler
- Viz Manga sampler
- Hatsune Mix posters
- Final Fantasy poster
- DURARARA!! poster
- Akame Ga Kill poster
- Sword Art Online poster
The Manga Mania event will run from July 19 through July 25.
Get Pop-Cultured! is a summer event, in which Barnes & Noble hosts various events based on popular elements of pop culture. Events cover the spectrum of nerdy fun, from Doctor Who to Star Wars.
