New Kindaichi Case Files R Season 2 Visual Released

It’s time for a brand new day, a brand new way as we embark on another amazing story.

Earlier today, a new key visual for the upcoming second season of Kindaichi Case Files R hit the web.

In addition, it was confirmed that numerous cast members from the show’s first season will return to reprise their roles in the new run. Specifically, the following roles were revealed:

  • Hajime Kindaichi: Taiki Matsuno
  • Miyuki Nanase: Akiko Nakagawa
  • Isamu Kenmochi: Juurouta Kosugi
  • Kengo Akechi: Toshiyuki Morikawa

Kindaichi Case Files R will begin airing on Yomiuri TV on October 3, at 5:30 PM local time. The series will be followed directly by perennial hit mystery series Case Closed, which hits the airwaves at 6:00 PM.

Kindaichi Case Files R is an adaptation of Yōzaburō Kanari’s Kindaichi Case Files manga. The first season kicked off in the Spring 2014 season, and ran for 25 episodes. Yutaka Tsuchida directed the adaptation at Toei Animation. The series is currently available in its entirety on Crunchyroll.
