Anime Studo SHAFT Joins Twitter

Get your Madoka and Monogatari fan art ready, folks! SHAFT is now on Twitter!

Earlier today, anime studio SHAFT joined the Twitterverse, as it opened an official account on the service.

Rough Translation: Good evening. SHAFT officially opened a Twitter account. Thanks very much for your support.

As of press time, the account has just the above Tweet, though they already have over 10,800 followers.

SHAFT was first founded in 1975, by former Mushi Productions animator Hiroshi Wakao. In recent years, the company has become a favorite among fans, with titles like Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the Monogatari series, and Nisekoi. Notable contributors within the company include key animator Tatsuya Oishi, director Shin Ōnuma, and director Akiyuki Shimbo (who pioneered the now-infamous SHAFT Head Tilt).
