Did video kill the medical star? Not this time!
Earlier today, a promotional video for Young Black Jack aired on Japan’s TBS network. The 60-second teaser gives fans a preview of series opener I Am Just Feeling Alive.

The promo comes hot on the heels of a wave of cast and crew announcements for the series. Mitsuko Kase (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Ristorante Paradiso) will direct the series at Tezuka Productions. Armored Trooper VOTOMS creator Ryousuke Takahashi will be in charge of series composition, while the team of Miyuki Katayama and Nana Miura will provide character designs.
Akio Ōtsuka (Black Jack, Metal Gear Solid) will serve as series narrator, as Yuichiro Umehara plays the titular Black Jack. Shizuka Itō was tapped to play Maiko Okamoto, while Kōji Yusa will portray Yabu.
Young Black Jack will hit Japanese TV on October 1 on TBS, though a time has yet to be announced.
